Your Library Has...
BOOKS
in English and French, for readers of all ages.
INTERNET terminals to access current information. Parental
permission forms must be completed for children less than 16 years of age.
INTERLIBRARY LOANS allow you
to browse the database of other Libraries with an easy to use program. You may find the item you want from another Library
in the area, province or nation.
MAGAZINES & NEWSPAPERS of numerous genres for you to enjoy. Some
loan restrictions apply. National papers may be accessed via the Internet.
LOCAL HISTORY COLLECTION over
100 albums of photographs, newspaper clippings and magazine articles, dating from 1930 to the present. For in-library use.
PHOTOCOPYING
may be made during regular Library hours. Our machine has double siding, enlarging and decreasing abilities.
FAXING
send or receive you Fax documents during regular Library hours.
PRINTING from the Internet or
Word Processing/Printing programs in black & white and color.
SCANNING and software to reproduce old photos touch up new ones and even book and magazine pages.
PROGRAMMING
of different varieties for all ages throughout the year.
VIDEOS on a wide range of subjects including how-to, current, children, etc. may be borrowed. A parental
permission form is required for those under 16 who wish to borrow videos.
BOOKS ON TAPE has a selection
of titles available for audio players.

MEMBERSHIPS
A Library Membership is FREE if you are a permanent
resident of Manitouwadge. Children under the age of 16 must have their card signed by a parent or legal guardian before it
can be issued.
There is a $1.00 processing fee for each membership
card and a $5.00 replacement fee for lost or damaged cards.
Temporary residents who request a membership card are
required to pay $5.00/year. Non- Residents pay $25.00 a year.
FAXING
Faxing is available through the Public Library with
varied fees listed below:

We do ask that if you are having a fax sent to the Library, to get your name
and phone number put on the cover, so we can call you when your fax comes in. Thank you!
If Receipts are necessary, they are available.
PHOTOCOPYING
Photocopying is also available through the Public Library.
The costs are as follows:
8.5 x 11 - $0.30/page --- $0.35 double sided
8.5 x 14 - $0.40/page --- $0.45 double sided
$0.10 for "Trial Copies"(enlarging, decreasing, lighter, etc.)

As per completed agreement approved by /Librarian/CEO.
Receipts are available upon request.
PRINTING
Printing from terminals is available at the Public
Library. The costs are as follows:
$0.50/page --- Text only
$1.00/page --- Graphics
Receipts are available upon request.
SCANNING
Scanning of pictures or documents is available at the
Library.
The costs are as follows:
$1.00/page
$2.00/page --- Special paper (photo, card &
design paper, business cards)
Receipts are available upon request.
COMPUTER USAGE GUIDELINES
You need to present your Library Card at the circulation desk.
1/2 hour blocks only. HOMEWORK TAKES PRIORITY! Ask staff if you have any problems or wish to print something.
Computer are turned off at 8:15 p.m.
INTERNET/COMPUTER USAGE
Present your Library Card at the circulation desk. Non -members pay $2.00 per
1/2 hour. This charge includes just checking your email. Absolutely NO downloading! And NO chatting
or messenger if you are under 14. 14, 15 years of age must have parent consent form signed.
INTERLIBRARY LOAN
The Interlibrary Loan program is a FREE service offered
by the Library, which allows you to borrow materials from other Libraries in Ontario. If we don't have it, someone else will!
- BOOKS: You can browse through a diversity of Library
book collections to find an item you are looking for. This service enhances the Library's collection, in that any book you
need can be provided for you. NOTE: the materials you borrow cannot be best sellers or recently released items.
- MICROFILMS: Interlibrary loaning of microfilms from
the National Archives of Canada, Public Archives of Ontario, and other applicable provincial institutions can be made through
the Library. Stop by with your request. Reel numbers, loaning institution and personal information will be required. The reels
can be viewed using the microfilm reader available in the Library!

Just a friendly reminder...
We have changed over to a new ILL (Interlibrary
Loan) System and it is possible to access the new ILL System from home.
Please don't hesitate to bring in your ILL requests
during library hours.
Remember that if we don't have the item in our collection,
we
can request it from other libraries across the province.
SHUT-IN PROGRAM
The Shut-In Program is run by volunteers who visit
the library to pick up books for patrons who are unable to visit us and return the materials on the due date for the same
people.
For this program, all materials can be borrowed for
21 days (3 weeks) and there are no overdue charges if the items are late.

LOAN REGULATIONS
Most books, magazines and Books on Tape/CD may be borrowed for 21 days.
Videocassettes
and DVD's are loaned for 3 days.
CD-ROMS and CDs are loaned for 21 days.
All materials are due back at the Library on the date indicated on your printout.
Each borrower is responsible for all materials loaned on his or her card and will
be billed for loss or damaged items.
